The English Police Rugby Union is proud to announce its upcoming international tour to South America, taking place from 7th May to 19th May 2026.
A squad of 24 players, selected from police forces across England, will travel to Buenos Aires Argentina and Montevideo Uruguay, where they will represent the organisation in 2 high-quality test match fixtures.
In Argentina, the squad will face a representative Security Forces team, providing a strong and physical test. The tour will then move to Uruguay, where the team will take on the Uruguay National Under-20 side, offering a fast-paced and highly skilled challenge against one of the country’s emerging elite squads.
This tour continues a proud tradition of international competition and cultural exchange. Previous tours have seen the English Police side compete on the global stage, including:
Hong Kong (2019) – facing the Australian and New Zealand National Police teams
Vancouver (2022) – competing against top-tier players from the British Columbia Premier League
Cape Town (2024) – taking on the South African National Police team
Each tour has strengthened international relationships while showcasing the high standard of rugby within the English Police.

Beyond the pitch, the squad will engage in meaningful community outreach. In Argentina, players will visit a local prison to support a rugby programme aimed at reducing re-offending and promoting rehabilitation. In Uruguay, the team will take part in a special session at the national stadium, delivering rugby activities for children with special educational needs, reinforcing the positive impact of sport across all communities.
